Foreign language majors excelled in the first national cross-border e-commerce contest

     Sponsored by Alibaba Group, the first collegiate cross-border e-commerce challenge opened and finished its personal round recently. More than five hundred students in the College of Foreign Languages and about 30 students from other colleges of Wanli University got excellent results and entered into the second round of group competition. This contest attracted over 20,000 college students from more than 100 universities and colleges. Of all the challengers, only 2,174 came to the second round. Wanli University ranked first since our students in the group challenge round account for 26 percent of all the contestants.

     To explore the teaching model for foreign language majors with high quality and practical ability, and to connect the foreign language talents cultivation with the national internet strategy, the Foreign Languages College has made full use of the resources of Ali Group and third party service supplier, and opened up the new area of university-enterprise cooperation so as to cultivate international e-businessman of which China is urgent need. This contest offered a precious opportunity for Wanli University to call on our students to join in e-commerce.
