An International E-Commerce Talent Agreement Signed between Foreign Languages College and Alibaba Group

On June 1, a team led by deputy dean of Foreign Languages College Zhou Wen attended the signing ceremony of international e-commerce talent cultivation agreement in University of International Business and Economics. Hosted by Alibaba Group, this activity is designed to cultivate millions of e-commerce talents in thousands of colleges and universities. On the signing ceremony, several speeches were made by the directors of Education Ministry, Alibaba Group, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and Beijing E-commerce Union, who all pointed out the prosperities and opportunities of e-commerce, and the steps of cultivating e-commerce talents, and the goal of the activity (to cultivate one million e-commerce talents in three years; to promote China’s foreign trade development; and to assist the “Belt and Road” strategy). Afterwards, Alibaba Group signed multi-party agreements with some governments, colleges and universities, businesses and some training institutions.

After winning the first national cross-border e-commerce contest, Foreign Languages College made a further step in connecting foreign language talent and the national strategy “Internet +” by signing the agreement to be one of the bases for Alibaba international e-commerce talent cultivation. This agreement will be both an important platform for cooperatively cultivating e-commerce talents and a professional practical platform for our foreign language majors.
