Yong Opera (Yong-ju) LI Min Performed at ZWU on the afternoon of June 2nd, Yong opera (Yong-ju) LI Min was put on the stage at the Junior College of ZWU with almost 700 students and teaching staff attending it. The play was produced by the art troupe of Zhang-jia-tan Village, Gu-lin County of Yin-zhou District and this is its first performance on campus.
The play is a large-scale modern Yong opera based on the life deeds of a revolutionary martyr Ms. LI Min from Zhangshui County. She was born in 1924 and later she took teaching as a cover for her participation in the revolution and eventually got arrested and martyred in 1944. Ms. LI demonstrated her political faith and commitment to the Party with her heroic deeds. The play has not only been put on stage for more than 30 performances around Yin-zhou district, but also won favorable comments when performed at Ningbo Yifu Theatre and Shanghai Lanxin Theatre.
