Beijing Foreign Studies University and ZWU Co-built Ningbo Research Institute of Marine Silk Road

 

The establishment and signing ceremony of Ningbo Research Institute of Marine Silk Road opened on the afternoon of June 10th at the Sheraton Hotel as one branch of the Silk Road Research Institute of Beijing Foreign Studies University. It is one of the achievements made in the CEEC Educational Cooperation Conference and Zhejiang Investment & Trade Symposium. Mr. YAN Guo-hua, the vice president of BFSU and Mr. YING Min, the executive president of ZWU signed the agreement on behalf of the respective university.

The establishment of the institute followed the principle of “efficiency, complement, cooperation, and co-development” to carry out the national strategy of “one-belt and one-road”and Ningbo municipal strategy of introducing prestigious universities in order to make Ningbo as one hub and key city in the world marine silk road and expand its influence in the fields of business, culture, and education etc.

BFSU as one key university has the advantages of international communications with other foreign universities and can offer the professional guidance and support for the research institute and provide plans and teaching staff for the talent cultivation oriented towards the “One-belt, One-road” areas by carrying out various training projects related to overseas talents cultivation with high quality.

ZWU as the co-unit of the research institute will guarantee the facilities for the talent training and cultivation, project research, consultation and academic exchanges to ensure the implementation and management by offering the connection between the research institute and the  Government, industry and enterprise.
