According to a recent announcement made by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), six projects from our university were funded, including one general project and five Youth Science Foundation projects. Professor Yang Zhenfeng from the College of Biological and Environmental Sciences got the general project and five doctors from the same college were funded their YSF projects. With the beginning of the Fourteenth Five-year Plan, our university entered into the new phase of high-quality and leaping development. The school authority proposed the goal of three-step strategy into the first-rank university. Therefore, the academic accomplishments made by the scholars with NSFC has laid a solid foundation for the transformation of our university into a teaching and research based one. In the future, we will continue to promote our core competence in science and research so as to make contributions to the discipline development and talent cultivation of our university.
