First Prize Captured in the National College-level Micro-lecture Competition

Recent news from the Higher School Math Research and TeachingCenter reveals that Liang Yuan, one of teaching staff in the Junior College of Wanli University won the first prize in the first National College-level Micro-lecture Teaching Competition.

In the preliminary round of the competition that ended on June 30, Liang won the grand prize in the East District of Competition and was admitted to the national finals. Then from July 5 to 12, the experts reevaluated the lectures in the final round and selected 97 works to enter the live evaluation round of the competition which was held in Xi'an Jiaotong University from August 19 to 20.The 97 lectures were divided into four groups—higher mathematics, linear algebra, probability theory and mathematical statistics. After the experts’ evaluation and the national committee’s discussion, Liang’s lecture was granted first prize and the result was proclaimed and the proclamation lasted from September 28 to October 10.

Besides, two other Wanli teachers—Zhang Chunli and Xu’ aimin won second prizes respectively in the group of probability theory and mathematical statistics and higher mathematics group.
