Educational Experts’ Visit: a Great Help to Wanli

At the invitation of the Education Department of Zhejiang Province and Wanli University, five educational experts visited Wanli University from the fourth to the seventh of October. During their visit, they comprehensively examined our undergraduate teaching program and offered guidance in this respect.
Xu Ya-fen, president of Zhejiang Wanli Education Group and Chairperson of Zhejiang Wanli University Board, and Ying Yong, secretary-general of Zhejiang Wanli University Board, held in-depth talks with visiting experts, introducing them to the unique system of University.
On the afternoon of October 4, accompanied by Wanli University Party Committee Secretary and Executive President Chen Jue-xiang, Vice-President Qian Guo-ying and Dean of Studies Wang Gang, the experts investigated UNNC and showed great interest in its administration system and teaching approach. After that, they visited Tianyige, an ancient library in Ningbo. The trip also gave them a rough idea of Ningbo’s economic and cultural position.
The next day, the leaders of the University, and heads of the relevant departments concerned accompanied by Chen Jue-xiang, Ying-min, Qian Guo-ying and Jiang Jian-jun investigated the teaching facilities in Huilong, including the College English Experience Centre, the Computer Centre, the General Physics Lab and the Chemistry Lab. They also visited some classes at random, which - gave them a first hand insight into how first-year undergraduate students are taught at Wanli. When they came to Qianhu, they focused their attention on such teaching facilities as the Library and Information Centre, gymnasiums and computer network centres. In addition, they interviewed administrative staff members, teachers and students alike to have detailed information about undergraduate teaching in our University.
We are very much obliged to the experts for their painstaking inspection and insightful guidance of our teaching, especially in considering that they gave up their National Day holiday to help us identify our weaknesses and offer solutions. This will certainly inspire all of us to work harder and do better still in the field of education.
