Enter the school gate and dormitory building with face ID? Study on virtual class? Real-time Monitor the vehicles? Electronic wireless networking locks? Yes! All these came true in this summer vacation after our school authority signed a strategic cooperation protocol of 5G smart campus with Ningbo Corporation of China Mobile in June. Up to now the 5G wireless system has covered our Qianhu Campus and Huilong Campus, making our university the first one with 5G wireless system.
Equipped with the advanced 5G technology, we will have intelligence classrooms and optimized engineering laboratories, which will provide technical supports for the next-generation digital campus construction. Besides, the 5G technique also gets us into the era of AI teaching with 5G long-distance teaching, VR class, holographic class, intelligence class(individualizing teaching and AI equipped teaching), monitoring with face ID, and big data system.
With the 5G teaching innovation and optimized engineering laboratories, we will cultivate many “double qualified” teachers with a solid professional foundation and outstanding practical capabilities, many certification engineers of 5G network, engineers of network planning and optimizing projects. In addition, 5G technology will provide intelligence monitoring and control for the security and environmental protection on campus. All in all, 5G plus AI technology helps to promote “Internet plus Education” and enhance the development of Ningbo digital education 2.0 version.
