Wanli Students Ranked First in the “Challenge Cup” Entrepreneurship Competition (Zhejiang Final)

In the afternoon of August 30th, the twelfth Zhejiang Provincial “Challenge Cup” Entrepreneurship Competition came to its final section in Ningbo University. The students of Wanli University scored fairly high with one first prize and two third prizes. Directed by three teachers including Zhou Zhidan, Ding Haomiao, and Wang Caisheng, the program “The Industrialization of High-valued Saltwort Research” won the first prize. The two third-prize programs were “Campus Serving Bear” and “The Business Proposal of Veggie House”

With 30,000 startup projects handed by more than 15,000 undergraduate contestants from 108 colleges and universities, this competition finally had 1155 projects in its second round and 154 of them in the finals. Our students showed great passion and took active part in the competition since it was launched in November of last year. Guided and supervised by experts both within and outside our university, over 1600 students submitted 316 business projects to the competition. Having always been responsive to the call of “Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation”, our university authority and teaching staff set up many innovation and startup platforms for the students to transform their scientific researches into practical fruits. Thus, an atmosphere of innovation and entrepreneurship has been created on campus with competitions being involved in the teaching and learning process.In the coming future the College of Innovation and Entrepreneurship will attach great importance to the organization and management of disciplinary competitions so as to expand the influences of the competition and some outstanding achievements in our innovation andentrepreneurship education.
