1. Brief Introduction

The Faculty of Electronic and Information Engineering consists of three departments, namely, the Department of Electronic & Information Engineering, the Department of Communication Engineering, and the Department of Electrical Engineering, as well as a Lab Center and a Research Institute of Electronic Engineering.

The faculty attaches great importance to cultivating students’ creativity, pioneering spirit, practical ability and the ability to initiate and operate independently. It trains highly capable students to engage in research, design, application and development of various electronic equipment and system in the field of electronics, electric, automation and computer technology. It offers three bachelor degree programs for electronic & information engineering, communication engineering, and electrical engineering and automation. The graduates are much sought-after by employers.

The Lab Center is equipped with advanced facilities for both fundamental and specialized experiments. The laboratory boasts a key provincial Fundamental Course Teaching Demonstration Center for Electrical & Electronic Engineering. The Research Institute of Electronic Engineering includes EDA (Electronic Design Automation) and DSP (Digital Signal Processing) labs, which are key municipal laboratories.

In addition, the faculty has cooperative programs with universities in Britain, New Zealand, Australia, Japan among others. Its graduates benefit a lot from these programs, which give them chances to further their studies overseas.
