From May 13th to 21st, Mr. FENG Ji-xuan from the College of Computer Science and Technology was invited by Confucius Institute Headquarters to join Chinese cultural delegation to Slovenia.
The delegation attended the opening ceremony of the first Confucius Institute in Slovenia and participated in “Chinese Culture Week” at the University of Zagreb. The Confucius Institute opened in the Second High School of Maribor on May 14th. During Chinese Culture Week, fabulous and various activities were held. For instance, Chinese fine arts, calligraphy, tea art and paper-cutting were displayed; Chinese paintings were exhibited and lectures on Chinese culture were held. The first China-Slovenia Business Forum was also held which was jointly organized by Confucius Constitute and Slovenian Business Association in which economic experts from China, Britain, Denmark, Slovenia, and other countries had a thorough discussion concerning how to carry out economic cooperation with China.
This visit made an inspiring communication with all local communities in Slovenia and spread Chinese culture widely and positively.
