May 31, a delegation led by Jean-David Avenel, Dean of the Administration of International Exchange of Paris Est Créteil Val de Marne(UPEC) visited the campus. Deputy President Qian met them and highly welcomed their visit.Ms Qian first introduced the visiting guests to the general conditions of our university and then reviewed the cooperation between the two universities in recent years. Previously named Université Paris 12 Val de Marne, UPEC and Zhejiang Wanli have sent to both sides many exchange students since 2009 the two universities established a formal cooperative relationship. Besides, UPEC also sent students to “summer vacation Mandarin training program” since 2011.
Both sides expressed approbation about the collaboration results, and hoped to have more profound and broadened cooperation on the current basis. The two parties then held a heated discussion and reach an agreement on the “two plus two” program and a short-term study program in France. After the meeting, the French delegates held an informal discussion with some students from Foreign Languages College. The dean Avenel asked about the students’ level of French and the students also asked many questions about study in France.
