On December 6, the China International Student Innovation Competition (2023) came to an end in Tianjin University. After a fierce competition, the project of School of Logistics and E-commerce of ZWU, “Yiqifu—Pioneer of Future Rural Industry Operation and Common Prosperity”, won the national gold medal, winning ZWU’s first national gold medal in this event, and achieving the best result since our university participated in this event.
The China International Student Innovation Competition (2023) is organized by the Ministry of Education and 12 other departments in conjunction with the Tianjin Municipal People’s Government, and hosted by Tianjin University. This year, a total of 4.21 million projects from 5,296 schools in 151 countries and regions at home and abroad, including 17.09 million participants, registered for the competition. 1,260 projects stood out and participated in the finals of the live competition at Tianjin University from December 3 to 6. A total of 196 gold medals were selected for higher education in the Chinese mainland, of which Zhejiang Province won 26.
The project leader of “Yiqifu—Pioneer of Future Rural Industry Operation and Common Prosperity” is Ye Chenglong, a graduate of the Logistics Management Major of the class of 2019 of our university, and the team members are Shen Luwei, Wang Sumu, Sheng Jialing, Tang Shuai, Shao Yi, Zhou Tingting, Dai Qixuan, Zhang Kexin, Wang Congying, He Yubei, Weng Kemin, Kang Tongyi, Meng Qingrui, and Xu Guanghao. The project is supervised by Mr. Chen Caixiang and Mr. Gong Yi. The project adheres to the concept of “villagers’ empowerment, cultural deep cultivation, industrial assistance”, and focuses on addressing the industrial pain points such as high idle rate of rural industrial resources, low return on capital investment, and insufficient retention rate of rural tourism. The project actively explores the transformation of village industrial development from “support-oriented” to “business-oriented”, stimulates the economic vitality of the countryside with traffic empowerment, cultivates the countryside industry brand with mode empowerment, and makes the common prosperity of the countryside visualized with platform empowerment, and provides a solution for the modernized rural common prosperity in Chinese style.
Since December 2022, the Student Affairs Department (College of Innovation and Entrepreneurship) and all secondary colleges have actively organized and mobilized participation in the competition. A total of nearly 700 entries have been received, with more than 6,200 teachers and students participating, and both the numbers of entries and participants exceeded those of previous years. At the competition departure ceremony, Jiang Jianjun, secretary of the Party Committee of ZWU, and other school leaders encouraged the teachers and students of the participating teams, brought best wishes by president Lin Zhihua, and hoped that the students would build confidence, carry forward the spirit of ZWU, bravely accept the challenge, and return in triumph.
Upholding the gene of innovation and entrepreneurship, adhering to the application-oriented school-running positioning and entrepreneurial school-running characteristics, ZWU has gained a series of excellent achievements in the college students’ innovation and entrepreneurship competitions. College of Innovation and Entrepreneurship has established a university-led and college-dominated competition preparation system. During the competition, the instructing ability of teachers was continuously strengthened through expert guidance, teacher training, collective seminars, etc. and experts from each track were invited to position the selected projects. At the same time, various forms such as online and offline project evaluation, special training, training camps were adopted to promote project iteration and establish and improve the project growth chain of “mobilization-selection-intensive training-enhancement-sprint”.
