On August 21, the 2024 China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week was held in Guiyang, co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education, and the Guizhou Provincial People’s Government. During the event, the forum of “Global E-Commerce Education Development Alliance Launch Ceremony and Cooperation Dialogue” took place. Ma Jianrong, Vice President and Party Committee Deputy Secretary, presented the achievements of Cross-Disciplinary and Composite Talent Cultivation for Cross-Border E-Commerce at the forum.
In his presentation, Ma Jianrong highlighted the characteristics of the Ningbo region and the educational features of Zhejiang Wanli University. He focused on the innovative composite talent cultivation model for cross-border e-commerce, which relies on the industry-academy collaboration of “four-dimensional synergy, bidirectional integration, and cross-disciplinary combination”. He emphasized promoting the entrepreneurial spirit of Wanli, cultivating cross-border e-commerce entrepreneurial talents within a “dual circulation, full chain” framework, implementing comprehensive reforms for “local internationalization” in professional education, serving the “Belt and Road” strategy, and establishing a high-end think tank for cross-border e-commerce to support the high-quality development of Ningbo’s cross-border e-commerce industry.
Ma Jianrong also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Macau Zhuomei (International) E-Commerce Co., Ltd. Both parties will work together to advance scientific research, technological innovation, and talent cultivation in the field of cross-border e-commerce through resource sharing and complementary advantages.
The forum of “Global E-Commerce Education Development Alliance Launch Ceremony and Cooperation Dialogue” was one of the main forums of the 2024 China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week. Experts, scholars, and students from over 180 domestic and international universities and enterprises attended the forum, including representatives from Asian countries such as Malaysia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, the Philippines, and Indonesia, as well as from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, University of International Business and Economics, and Zhejiang Gongshang University. Distinguished guests, including Yang Shanlin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Zhao Zhongxiu, President of University of International Business and Economics, and Liu Jun, Director of the Teaching Guidance Committee for E-Commerce Majors of the Ministry of Education, delivered keynote speeches, exploring the path of deep integration between global e-commerce education cooperation and industrial development.
