Supporting Candidates by Ensuring a Smooth Examination Journey — ZWU Successfully Completes the 2025 Postgraduate Entrance Examination

  • 2024-12-23

From December 21 to 22, the 2025 National Postgraduate Entrance Examination was held as scheduled at our examination center, which welcomed over 2,700 candidates. We set up 91 standardized examination rooms and 2 backup rooms. Multiple departments, including the President’s Office, Academic Affairs Department, Campus Construction Management Department, Security Department, Graduate School, Student Affairs Department, Literature and Information Center, and Logistics Branch, collaborated to implement various supportive tasks such as maintaining order, ensuring energy supply, creating a conducive examination environment, promoting health and hygiene, and facilitating transportation. Over 300 examination staff, logistical support personnel, and student volunteers were well-prepared, providing comprehensive support for candidates by promoting examination integrity, arranging venues, and maintaining order in the examination rooms. This effort successfully achieved the goal of a “Safe Examination” for 2025 and concluded the examination organization flawlessly.

Leaders from the Zhejiang Provincial Examination Institute, Ningbo City Examination Institute, and Ningbo City Education Bureau inspected our examination center prior to the exam, offering guidance and support for the invigilation process. Relevant school leaders visited the examination center to oversee and assist with the examination work while expressing their appreciation to the staff.

Rigorous Examination Organization:

Focusing on examination norms and enhancing staff training, the Academic Affairs Department provided pre-job training for all personnel involved in organizing the exam, made an examination work manual, and implemented grid management for all examination rooms. Key tasks were assigned to specific individuals to ensure that examination procedures were executed accurately and without negligence. To address emergency situations, a collaborative mechanism was established. The school built a “three-level linkage” grid emergency response system, strictly adhering to a grid management model that is closely related to emergency incidents and responsible units, thereby comprehensively enhancing the precision and coordination of emergency handling. To prevent unauthorized entry, key processes were closely monitored. The school released announcements in advance regarding the entry process and important rules for candidates, set up storage cabinets for personal items, and utilized “smart security gates + handheld metal detectors” to ensure that high-tech cheating devices could not be brought in.

Caring for Candidates:

To provide warm and thoughtful services for candidates, the school established self-study rooms for exam preparation and held “Pre-Exam Mental Support” lectures to offer guidance, answer questions, and provide psychological support before the exam. Various channels, including the official website and WeChat public account, were utilized to timely and accurately release important information such as candidate notices, examination arrangements, entry security checks, and examination precautions, along with consultation phone numbers to ensure candidates could access the latest information immediately. Additionally, relevant functional departments and colleges closely monitored the physical and mental well-being of candidates, organizing activities such as singing for best wishes, sharing exam experiences, and distributing exam support packages to alleviate candidates’ anxiety and boost their morale, conveying care and encouragement. On the day of the exam, the Student Affairs Department arranged shuttle buses at both campuses, with counselors and volunteers escorting candidates onto the buses to cheer them on.

ZWU has always adhered to a candidate-centered approach, walking alongside students preparing for the exam and diligently organizing the postgraduate entrance examination. We wish all candidates success in achieving their goals and excelling in their exams, ultimately “landing” in their desired programs.
