Dr. Lin Zhihua, a research fellow II and a Ph.D. supervisor, is currently president of ZWU. As an expert on the technical system of the national molluscan mariculture industry, he is the vice director of the Malacological Society of China, the executive director of China Society of Fisheries, the vice director of Zhejiang Society of Fisheries, and the vice chairman of Technical Committee on Aquatic Products of Standardization Administration of Zhejiang.
Dr. Lin is a First-Tier Talent and a Government-Sponsored Talent of the “New Century 151 Talent Project” of Zhejiang Province. As a specialist in the research of the germplasm resources and breeding of marine mollusks, Dr. Lin has led over 20 national and provincial key R&D research projects, and he has supervised the successful breeding of three new aquatic varieties. He is the author of two monographs, and has published over 140 significant papers in Chinese and international core journals. He has won one First Prize of Science and Technology of Zhejiang Province and six other awards at the provincial and ministerial level, including Second Prize of China Agricultural Science and Technology Awards. Dr. Lin is entitled to Special Allowance of the State Council and has been honored as Expert with Outstanding Contributions to Ningbo City and Model Worker of Ningbo City.
