Ningbo Maritime Silk Road Research Institute is a think-tank research institute co-founded by ZWU, the Ningbo municipal government and Beijing Foreign Studies University in June 2015. Based on regional development and focused on Zhejiang area and the countries along “the Belt and Road”, the Institute has long been committed to building a domestically first-class and internationally renowned new-type professional think tank for national and regional studies, providing “five-in-one” services including policy consultation, enterprise services, academic research, talent training, and cultural exchanges. The National and Regional Research Center of the Ministry of Education has successively awarded the institute as “Central and Eastern European Economic and Trade Research Center”, “New Think Tank for Universities and Colleges in Zhejiang Province”, “International Cultural Exchanges Base in Zhejiang Province”, “Soft Science Research Base in Zhejiang Province”, and “Demonstration Base for Sino-CEEC Economic and Trade Cooperation Pilot Zone”.
